Regenwormen voor waterregulatie onder grasland

In 2012 is een onderzoek gestart naar het voorkomen van pendelende regenwormen onder grasland en de ‘best practices’ voor behoud en stimulering van deze groep wormen. In dit artikel worden de functies en het voorkomen van deze regenworm in Nederlandse graslanden beschreven.

In 2012 a study was initiated on the occurrence of anecic earthworms in grasslands, and the ‘best practices’ to maintain and increase their populations. Anecic earthworms commute between the soil surface and the subsoil, and construct permanent deep burrows. This article describes the functions and occurrence of this group of earthworms in Dutch grasslands.
